On August 25, 20XX, at 3:30 PM, I stood at the northwest corner of N Fort Apache Rd, waiting to cross the street.
The weather at the time was clear, and visibility was good.
I observed a blue sedan traveling northbound with a white SUV trailing it. The sedan appeared to be traveling at a speed limit of 35 mph.
The sedan approached a stop sign, and as the sedan came to a stop, the SUV failed to follow and collided with the sedan's rear.
The impact resulted in the sedan being pushed forward into the crosswalk while the SUV swerved to the side.
Immediately after the collision, the driver of the sedan exited the vehicle; the driver appeared to have blood running down the side of their head. The driver of the SUV got out of their vehicle and began to speak with the driver of the sedan.
At around 3:35 PM, I reported the accident to 911. Within about 10 minutes, police and EMS arrived. EMS took the sedan driver to the hospital while the SUV driver remained on the scene and spoke with the police.
I did not observe any other vehicles or pedestrians involved in the accident, and I did not spot any other possible witnesses.
